Hate to bring bad news; just wanted to keep you in the loop on major events...

 

As my extended online "family", I just wanted to inform you of the passing of my step-father Alan due to lung cancer that was caught too late. Unfortunately, our relationship had been strained but he meant a lot to my mother. He was a very hard-working blue collar construction worker who specialized in tiles.

Sorry to hear of your loss, was his cancer work related?

 

I myself deal with airborn elements that I need to be wary of.

I hope he was not in pain long, and is now in a better place.

May he rest in peace

Thanks all for the kind words and encouragement. My immediate goal is to provide support to my family. Unfortunately, I've discovered (too late) that my mother didn't make proper provisions for this situation, so there are some decidely important decisions that my sister and I need to make to help our mother moving forward.

 

Again, thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
