Along with Star Wars 1, the Iron Fist 14 35 cent price variant has been known the longest.

Umm, I don't think that's accurate. My recollection was that the first ones known to exist were the SW 1 and IF 15. Remember, for about 12 years the IF 15 was the important IF issue, and it was hoarded pretty much right after publication, garnering a lot of collector interest which led to the recognition of the variant.

After these two, SW 1-3 and Invaders 21 (I think, whichever the reprint issue was) were the next to have recognized variant editions, although no one understood the significance. And this is the way it was largely until the late 1990's when Jon McClure figured the whole deal out and a handful of collectors went out looking for the rest of the issues. Until then, almost no one knew there was a IF 14 variant. I remember bringing my copy to a Big Apple show in the basement of St. Paul's in NY and shopping it around. No one, and I mean no one, at the show believed it existed until I showed them. I even had a couple of people flat out call me a liar. And these were knowledgable dealers.

Show off. meh

Actually your copy was the first confirmed one I ever saw or heard of. As I recall it was pretty much hypothesized that there was a 35¢-er of most book but, at the time, only a hand full had actually been confirmed.

Yeah.. well the All Detergent 184 no price variant, was the only one I spotted on Ebay for years. The slabbed comic went all the way to England. (thumbs u

I sold a beat up copy for $45. I ran it on eBay as the All Detergent variant. I have tried a couple of time to have CGC change the description to All Detergent Variant, but to no avail.

It's a hard book to find. I traded one of the only known copies that still had the sticker on it. Doubt I'll ever find another.

Do you still have a scan of it?

I did a quote from someone wrong and it is for IF #14. I wanted to know what it would go for if the 9.4 of it went back up for auction, since a 9.2 went for $4100 in 2008. Would it do better then GL #76 9.6 did?

There is an All Detergent Spider-Man give away from 1979 with a yellow cover that has this same wording. The wording is part of the cover and not a sticker. It is pretty common.

If it does turn out to be a ASM 184, please post a pic, or at least know you found it. Good Luck! (thumbs u

That going to be a pain!

Actually, Defenders 48 - 52 unless you already have 52. :baiting:

Moon Knight is in or on the cover of 48-51 only though :)
