an SS removed from outer case still an SS? *closed*

I'm sure this question was already answered @ sometime, but I couldn't find it...

 

This SS mag on ebay was broken out of the outer CGC shell, but still in the inner shell. If it was re-submitted for a new holder would it hold the signature series gold label? I could see it going either way...

I think this is how the item was submitted. This looks like the magazine size holders the 8.5x11 boards I got came in.

He says the case was damaged in the listing.

 

I would assume it would no longer be SS.

The CGC holder is designed to be tamper evident and has other security features to discourage fraudulent holder tampering. The CGC holder must be completely intact with unbroken corner posts for the collectible to be considered an authentic certified CGC collectible.

 

Opening the holder voids the CGC certification.
