I've recently had an 8.0 come back as a 9.6, and a 6.0 come back as an 8.0.

 

from pressing or just from a re-sub?

Let's clarify.

 

With the right book, equipment and experience it's a possibility.

 

It's not automatic to just put a 9.0 book into a press and expect a 9.6.

 

There are plenty of books that don't upgrade at all.

 

There are also plenty of people out there making 8.0's out of 9.0's right now.

I've bought from dealers who brag to me that they bought a press and press everything now.

 

I look at their "pressed" books and they look like they were under the family sofa cushions for a week.

 

There are tons of books out there getting ruined.
