Not one of the implosion up comics I have been collecting....but it's something that was always talked about that it was a very hard to find comic. Just won this on eBay from sparkle city. I am pretty happy. One step closer to a Millie run. Only 57 more issues. :tonofbricks::sick:

Millie the Model #2

Dipping your toes in the Timely pool. I see where this is going. Once you start buying Red Circle pulps you're really in trouble.

hm I have not fell to those levels YET. lol

Come on....I need a complete Millie run! This is a nightmare to collect....random G/VG issues explode on eBay because other Millie collectors also need that issue then a bidding frenzy begins. You never know if the issue your looking at is one of them.....winning one feels like you struck gold. This is what comic collecting is all about!

Sweet copy. I love this cover, as it sums up the absurdity of post code "horror" - it's a bit odd too, as Everett did a fair number of legitimately moody covers in that era as well. You have to wonder what was going through their minds - "A haunted laundromat, that'll sell!"

The cover isn't really representative either; it's more of a voodoo & betrayal story (post-code style) but I forget the details.

I got two more issues for my implosion up run.

Patsy Walker #74 published December 1957 (last issues I needed for October 1957, the implosion up) :cloud9:

This is is a TURD copy. But by far one of the harder to find issues that are on my current want list. I am glad to have found a copy.

Nellie the Nurse #1 published November 1957.

Also picked up a JIM #20 in the sales area. Which is prior to the 10/1957 up set that I have been working on...but I thought the monster looked similar to the one on the TTA #11 cover and wanted to post them side by side.

Just got this....it's not one of my focus comics right now....but it's one of the first issues that began and ran past 1960. Only need two more of the first issues of the series that extended past 1960.

Patsy and Hedy #1 published in February 1952

Bit late to the party re this thread (I know - how could I have missed it!), but I went ahead and read the whole thing - remarkable achievements, Frank - can't say I'm not a little envious. Also, you've gone one step beyond in terms of collecting every genre for certain years - I've generally been selective with the romance, western and oddball stuff. Bravo!

Thanks a lot Andy! That means a lot coming from you...I am very envious of most of the comics I watch you purchase! lol(worship)
