Wizard World Toronto - April 14th / 15th ?

16 posts in this topic

Well instead of going to C2E2 this year (which I've been to all of them) I decided to stay home and support the local show. With WWChicago being my favorite show of the year, I believe in the Wizard brand and need it to stay around as some sort of competition for Fan Expo, as competition is good for the consumer.

The location is great, being at the Convention Centre and I look forward to a helluva weekend.

since CGC decision to go there year after year

Trust when I say, there was nothing of not to photograph. Saw Jim (CGC World), Greg Horn and Harley...other than that total waste of time. I was in and out in 2 hours. If only I could have gone to C2E2

I was there yesterday, and the Wizard show seemed significantly busier than last year, had many more comic vendors, and was organized very well.

Access to the artists was unfettered, there was minimal cosplay kids clogging the aisles and I stayed for 5 hours.

Overall, an enjoyable show.

I bought a ticket ages ago, but after looking at the vendor list I decided I had better things to do with my time.

This show was great 2 years ago when Ted VanLiew, Bob Storms, Steven Ritter and Matt Nelson, etc. made the trip north.

Now? Not so much.

You said it exactly right.

That's why I won't go until it becomes a comic book show again.
