Batman #1 scam on ebay!

So, I noticed who was thought to be Harold Fuller at the time, posting in a Batman #1 WTB thread.

 

 

Sent a private message.

 

 

As it turns out, it was him. Anyhow, I sent the person who was looking for a Batman #1 a PM warning him that this guy might be harold Fuller. He just anwsered my PM, and said that he was offered this book for 10K.

He also told me that he just checked, and the same book is FS on ebay from a seller with a 1 feedback rating.

The seller had his auction closed by Ebay last week. Supposedly, ebay contacted him and is allowing this auction to run its course. They seller provided me with a phone number and offers pickup payment in Ohio. Do we know for sure he doesn't have the book in his possession? It is the same book that was offered a month ago by a scammer, but now in a CGC holder graded in November 2011.

Phew.. That was a close one.. Almost bought the book off of eBay and would send him a check. He said thy he could fly out to me to do the transaction, which I why I felt I could trust him and send him a check instead. We talked on the phone for about close to an hour about the book and how we can make te transaction happen. I'm glad I guess that he declined my offer price

The only thing that is known for sure is, that the same book was offered by a known shill and scammer on theses boards.
