...this isn't a thread for books you once owned and now regret selling... this is a thread for books you wanted, went after, but LOST!!!!

I can't access the cover right now, but the most recent book that I regret losing was the BW Detective #18 (7.5), ...before it was repressed. :(

 

If I'd won it first time around, it would NOT have been pressed, resubmitted and quickly flipped in another auction.

this one comes to mind. underbidder on my favorite book of all time. went for less than $3,900 too which I feel was a great deal. Someday I will get one though.

But if you try sometimes, well, you might find you get what you need.

Chances of getting another one of these is mighty slim, as Overstreet says there are five known copies. I bid hard on it, in comparison to guide, but wasn't going to break the bank on it. Wish I would have won it though
