Surprise...armed with my STAPLES Gift Card and about to order a

Epson Perfection V33 Flat Bed Scanner, when I'm notified, "Currently

Out Of Stock".

May have been said in this thread somewhere already but make sure it's a legal size and that it will scan the depth of the thicker GA slabs. I know some of the newer scanners operate on a different possibly cheaper format that blurs the image at the depth of a cgc slab.

I have been trying to buy an All Winners 4 (scan from Heritage Auction) but already have a CC 12.

I like Halloween covers almost as much as Christmas covers.

Try Kijiji. I just bought my HP 7410 for 65.00. That's about s 400 dollar savings and it uses the older format which is great for scanning slabs. A little glare though.

It has a great 12-page Cap story with the Return of Red Skull...

plus one of my all time favorites The Destroyer. There is also

a full page message from the Cap "...to bundle newspapers and

magazines before turning them over for the waste paper drive."

But as I said, it's in rough shape...the front cover is separated

from the back cover, there are pieces missing from the cover

and the pages are brittle...unfortunately it didn't age as well as

my other books.

This would be a good candidate for restoration!

Going through the Set Registry, I noticed there is not a

set for KERRY DRAKE, DETECTIVE CASES. This

was a regular for me to buy, still have #'s 4 through 9

and #13. I always enjoyed the character and from what

I see the series ran for 33 issues.

I like Kerry Drake but probably like Speed and All-New a little more.
