Marty have you ever shown any scans of your books yet, I remember asking a while ago and you said you were working on it.

I would so like to see them, sorry if I missed you showing them, I would love a link, if I have. :wishluck:

I vote for Batman 48 and Cap 64....GOD BLESS....

I was thinking the same thing, especially the Cap 64.

Under closer examination, my CAP 64 has a slightly

rusty staple and a detached centerfold...probably won't

grade that well after all...might have to reconsider.

I'll be more than happy to relieve you of that burdensome book. :takeit:

Batman graded is allways a fine choice.in fact anything from an original collector would be fine. Tis a wonder that you held on to them for all those years.A wise man indeed!

It wasn't always easy to hold onto them...as a matter of fact,

somewhere over the years I lost a box...I know because I have

been unable to locate some books I remember having, like Will

Eisner's 1949 BASEBALL COMICS with Rube Rooky.

Two of my books that I might consider having graded sometime

are Siegel & Shuster's FUNNYMAN #1 & #2. I picked these up

in 1948 from a corner store in Scranton, PA. They use to hang

the books on a line with clothes pins in the window. I never see

any interest in FUNNYMAN...but I always enjoyed them.

Yes...up until early '54...still have quite a few.

I just had a Shock SuspenseStories #6 graded at 7.5 with

#'s 7 & 8 yet to be sent for grading in the near future.

Along with the intact ones I have, I also have a dozen or so

remainder copies I picked up in the early '50's for a nickel each.

But long before the '50's I was buying EC's like LAND OF THE LOST

#1 & #2 and PICTURE STORIES FROM AMERICAN HISTORY #1 &

#2.

Happy to see that SCRIBBLY COMICS have been added to

the Registry, I have #'s 1, 2, 4, 6 & 8 which I will probably have

graded in the future. Always enjoyed Sheldon Mayer's work on

SCRIBBLY "King Of All Cartoonists" whose last name was JIBBET.

Scribbly is still missing from my collection. I'll have to fork out a few extra dollars to win one on ebay pretty soon or hope someone finds a moldy copy in their basement. Glad to hear that you were a fan too.

I added a picture from my collection.

I don't have the first two issues of Land of the Lost but I do have the third.

It was a weird series which I have never heard on the radio

but I did enjoy the TV show and movie.

Just wondering whether you have any oversize issues in your collection?

Such as Weekender, Feature Books and Mickey Mouse.

The Experimenter was an early SciFi and Fact combination which turned into Amazing, I think.

Any large pulps in your collection?

No oversized ones, but I do have FEATURE BOOK #48 "The Maltese Falcon"

with Sam Spade and FEATURE BOOK #49 "Perry Mason & The Case Of The

Lucky Legs". No pulps, I would look at them on the newsstand, but when it came

to spending my dime...it was always comics.

As far as "Land Of The Lost", I listened to it every Saturday on radio,,,the main

character "Red Lantern" as I remember, was played by a young Art Carney.

I do have a 48 page Walt Disney Paint Book with the numbers 627 & 2055 on

the cover. It's a whitman with a copyright date of 1939...but no publication date.

It's never been colored and has some really nice drawings of Mickey, Donald, etc.

I have several versions of this story. I like the coloring book but would like to color all of the pages.

I think I have a Donald Duck in the Army coloring book too.

The story was featured in Walt Disney Comics and Stories but most of us probably remember the cartoon.

Four Color #157 "MICKEY MOUSE AND THE BEANSTALK" is one

of my favorites along with Four Color #116 "MICKEY MOUSE AND

THE HOUSE OF MANY MYSTERIES". I used to find most of my

Four Color Books at my local W.T. Grants store...didn't see too many

on the newsstands.
