Never had much luck finding this title on the newsstand...I'm sure this

is the only one I ever found.

Okay fine, Mr. Scarecrow:

Available letters: B O E E T Y E A

Spaces:

_ _ _

_ N _

_ _ _

My take:

TAB

ONE

EYE

(legit words: tab, one, eye, toe, any, bee... Are there any other possible solutions?)

Another one of those comics from the rack at W.T. GRANTS that I read over and

over during the years.

After having my collection for all these years, it wasn't until reading the threads here

that I even noticed the markings on my books. I began to realize that for some reason

most of the comics I bought at the Bloomfield Avenue Newsroom were marked with an

"N"...not that it's important but I did find it interesting. I guess it was something that

the Newsroom Owner did for reference.

Man those colors on those Wonder Woman's really pop. Question, were DC's pretty prevelant and available on the stands back in those days? Seems like they might have had the best country wide distribution of any company of the GA except maybe Dell.

DC's appeared to be almost everywhere with the exception of the FIVE & DIMES like

W.T. GRANTS and WOOLWORTH'S which only carried DELL'S and CLASSIC COMICS.

The BUS and TRAIN STATIONS seemed to only carry STREET & SMITH COMICS and

the FOX titles. And, there were also the popular Corner Stores that always seemed to

carry MARVEL/TIMELY titles along with FICTION HOUSE comics...these were the stores

with "penny cigarettes"...Pinball Machines and "young guys" hanging out.
