Spectacular! So some of your early 60s books did make it through in great shape!

yeh - some of the early marvels did ok, but it's clear that the ones from 1963 and 1964 fared the best. i'm starting to believe that it's mostly a matter of the latter books having been handled less as i was starting my slow fade out of the hobby....... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

no problem - the short version - barea$$ed standing up in dresser drawers for approx 10 years, then moved to polybags only for another approx 10 years, and then finally switched to Mylars and acid-free backing boards for the last 20+ years.

i'm not sure how so many made it through all that as 9.0+'s, but they did. the earlier DC's from the late 50's are no where near as nice as the latter '63-'64 books.

I take it that the comics were the only things in the drawers?

Jim

No...it was really a serious question. I find it kinda fascinating that the comics survived so well and was asking along the lines of things moving around hitting the comics everytime you opened the dresser. Lucky for you of course..... thumbsup2.gif
