I always liked the idea of Wolvie's friend Asano (from the Limited Series) having an interesting Japanese backstory with Logan - and to my knowledge, they never brought him up again after he was killed off.

The mercenary known as Kwinn works for some of the most despicable people on earth. The kind of people you say wouldn't even know the slightest idea what scruples are. And yet, Kwinn holds a strict code of honor that urges him to keep his word and maintain his part of the bargain. Even if he feels that he may be on the erring side, he will complete his job and take his payment. After that, it's anybody's guess.

Ferro Lad in the S.A. Adventure Comics LSH run. He only appeared in six stories, seven if you count "The Ghost Of Ferro Lad." He didn't say much, but he said it well.

Does Taskmaster count? He didn't show up often from his debut in 1980 through to the 2000's. It's only recently he's become to show up more often.
