wizardseye311
You should have no problem finding full runs of both Marvel Feature Vol. 2 and Red Sonja in decent enough reader copy shape for $15.00 to $20.00 each. That's what I do, and just keep the best ones for my reader copy collection. Then I just give away or trash the really bad ones. Keep in mind that these aren't collected like Spider-Man or X-Men, and no one is killing themselves to get these. There are a few collectors who will pay when a 9.8 comes along that they need, but for the most part, the ones we already have don't go for that much, and end up sitting on eBay for years without so much as a bite. Especially issues 2-6. You could get all five of those in 9.8 right now for less than $100.00 each on eBay as we speak. So don't be fooled if you see one go for more at auction. Like that Marvel Feature Vol. 2 #3 on HA a few months back. It's just two or three of us fighting over one we don't have. If you want investment grade mint books you have to buy them already graded to be safe, and if you're looking for reader copies no more than a dollar or two each. Anything in between is pointless for these.

Yep, that's why we collect her too. Wait and see what happens if someone puts up a #7 or #8 in 9.8 though. It could get ugly.

Still it sits there waiting for a good home. I got mine for even less, so I definitely wasn't going to pay what they're asking. You can get Hitman's #2 off eBay for less as well. Although it's upside down in the CGC slab, it's still a 9.8 WP. CGC will reslab it for free.

I guess. I don't think they pay too much attention over there. Someone did pick up the SS #7 off of there. There are now ten 9.8's for #7. Two are SS. I know three are are registered. One to Dr. Mengele, one to Cheetah, and one to Rich Henn. So that leaves seven unaccounted for. Keep your eyes peeled.

I was surprised how they made red sonja so tough is that first story !! If you read, "Shadow of the Vulture" by R.E. Howard, the source from which Red Sonja was derived, you would meet Red Sonya of Rogatino. Not your average female to be sure. A fiery tempered wench without the capacity for mercy. Roy Thomas had a lot to live up to. Especially after changing the spelling and setting of our heroine to Conan's time. No doubt the pressure was on to make her worthy of the appearance. wizardseye311
Is Vol 3 any good? Never read any of it. It's alright. Nowhere near as sexy, and the artwork isn't as good. Action is toned down a bit too. The worst part about it is that they changed her outfit. Instead of the chain mail bikini, they gave her a one piece blue cloth outfit. Kinda goofy, but it's still Red Sonja, I guess.

wizardseye311
Man, how long they been trying to sell those, and no one has bought either one? If they really wanted to sell them they'd come down on the BIN price, or just start the bidding at 99 cents. I've seen books sit for months with somewhat high asking prices, and then the seller will finally do a no reserve sale. Many times they get more than what they were asking for. Still, for an ungraded Red Sonja that price is a little high. I think My Comic Shop has one for $171.00. Crazy. I just don't see the draw, or any of them selling for these amounts. I know they're rare, but what's rarer are people that want them. Especially in less than highest graded.
