• Approx. six spine ticks. Soft upper-left corner on spine.

• Top overhang on cover has some slight wear.

• Barely a hint of a 2" color-breaking diagonal crease on the front cover, through the 'ER' in 'MYSTERY.'

• Absorbing Man's ball has a very light 1/2" bend/impression - very light.

• Annnnnd - I can't believe I just talked about Absorbing Man's ball.

• Back cover very clean.

• The largest defect is a pen-like impression on the front cover, approx. 3" long. It begins in the 'H' of 'THOR' and curves down into the Destroyer's right arm.

• Page quality off-white.

• Staples are snug into the centerfold.

• Very clean front & back covers.

• Spine and bottom edge show some moderate wear.

• Biggest defect with the book is a 2" wide x 5/16" tall stain above 'Mystery' on the front cover. Stain also shows on the back cover. There is no 'wave' or 'ripple' to this area, however.

• Top overhang shows some chipping and small edge tears

• Page quality is cream to off-white.

• Staples are slightly offset toward the front cover, but look great & are snug in the centerfold.

• Off-white to white pages.

• Gorgeous color strike & gloss. Book glows.

• Approx. 5 or 6 spine ticks that barely break color. 2 lower ticks are 1/8" in length. The rest are 1/16" or less.

• Tiny 1/16" or less miniscule chip on open edge of cover, approx. 3/16" from the bottom right corner - looks like from a dull cutting blade

• Back cover very, very clean & bright. Perhaps a light fingerprint 'ghost' or two that can be seen in the gloss, when the book is tilted back & forth in the light.

• Looks like an ink-roller type mark in the text '–says Mike Marvel,' Does not appear to be a stain, as no evidence on inside cover.

• Staples slightly offset to the back cover of the book, but even THEY glow! Staples & centerfold perfect.

 

I rock-solid 9.0. Just a gorgeous copy.

GPA has 1 sale each in 9.0 the past two years - both right about $360. Overstreet lists the book at $359.

• Small, light diagonal crease, lower-right front cover.

• 1/4" tear, bottom edge, front cover, below Thor's left foot.

• Light stress mark, bottom staple, onto the front cover. Mark goes into Thor's right leg & stops jus short of Jane's hat.

• 1/8" sun shadow, open edge, full length of the book, back cover.

• Page quality is cream to off-white.

• Two small discoloration areas - don't look like stains - bottom edge, page 1.

• Staples are 'bang-bang' perfectly set into the centerfold.
