When will/will the WALKING DEAD bubble burst?

Just a minor point: there are many things trending down on the bay lately. It's a seasonal thing and TWD isn't immune as demonstrated by the recent sales.

I'm not saying the bubble won't burst or hasn't burst or isn't bursting, just commenting on the Ebay lull currently that has been affecting many comics equally.

Good point. It seems comics that were hot last year at this time seemed to have cooled, especially modern speculator comics.

Everything seems to be down, even the pressed, and resub comics,as well as the movie hyped comics.

That`s usually how it is though when the US dollar`s value and stocks goes up,then we will find gold, silver and collectibles go down.

Yep this summer so far has been a lull. hm

The last 3 (9.8) sales, on average, have cleared roughly $1500 after eBay fees. $1645, $1625, $1700.

It still is doing better than an oz of gold has.

Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.8 = $1500

an oz of gold is way down = $1235

The overall market has been soft the last month or two. I'm also seeing really nice books surface that I never even thought that I would see. Other key books have blown GPA away. Go figure.

TWD 1 has nearly 500 in 9.8. It's simply NOT a $3000 book. I would trade mine for a nice key silver any day of the week.

this is extremely relevant as every TWD reader has to make that snap decision: TWD #1 or Kruegerrand?

Everybody knows only Gold and Silver Age books have intrinsic value, the rest are just fiat comics.

Purty F-ing good for the summer lull if I do say so myself. Hasn't been affected nearly as much as other titles FWIW. Should bounce back up 'round next season of TWD if not sooner.

People pay this kind of money for a 9.6 modern, when kids are starving in Africa, and strippers are trying to pay tuition.

No bronze age? Hulk 181, Asm 129,121,122, hero for hire 1, marvel premiere 15....?

It was a joke directed at the anti-federal reserve crowd's obsession with precious metals as the only legitimate backing for currency, perhaps a bit too esoteric.
