Yea, for sure kidding. Those runs will sell very well in just about any condition with or without a stamp.

Thanks,

It's not a date stamp it's a return address stamp... you know name, address, city, state. How do I remove it or disguise without doing further harm? I'd at least like to disguise my identification stamp...

Amazing Fantasy #15, X-Men 1-40, FF 1-71, Spidy 1-69, DD 1-50, Avengers 1-48, Thor 100-148, Submariner, Hulk, Iron man & Cap, Strange Tales, Two Gun Kid, Rawhide Kid, Heck I've even got some Millie The Model and several doubles.

Wow! Is this board ACTIVE or what?????

Also don't worry about it if it is still your address from 40 years ago.

Whoever buys your books will have your address from the mailing label anyway.

Cashpoor, sounds like you have a most awesome set of very desirable Silver Age books. Do I understand you correctly that you are the original owner of these books and bought them off the rack? If so, OUTSTANDING.

The value of these books in the marketplace depends dramatically on their condition. If you have access to a scanner or digital camera, I would really get a kick out of seeing you post pix of a couple of the front covers.

And welcome to the boards.

yes - welcome to the boards.

and when you post a few covers, include a pic of the address stamp that you're talking about. it sounds pretty innocuous and may have minimal affect on the grading of your books.

also, just curious, why did you only start buying Journey into mystery at #100??

If this guy is the original owner of these books, having bought them off the rack, could this be worthy of a pedigree?

If he says all have the same distinguishing mark, it could be used to help identify them.

It would need to be catalogued by issue and condition.

If it is truely a high grade one owner collection, I think the mark would add to the value.

Anyone have a thought on this?

I think the Burntboy collection should have received a pedigree distinction.

It is one hell of a single owner collection.

I hate the fact that the only time a pedigree is named is after a dealer has screwed the owner out of it.

What kinds of bags and boards were you using in the early to mid-1960s? Or did you bag them later? confused.gif

How did you store them when you bought them? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
