Silver Surfer 1-18 Appreciation Thread

Not yet, there was a 9.0 I had my eye on recently, but I just bought an Iron Man #1 (7.5) and a Sub-mariner #1 (8.0) - amongst a few others - so I had to pass.

I foresee one in the not to distant future

Thought I'd drop by and bump this thread with my complete set. Started it a while ago, not high-grade at all, but I love 'em all:

Which would be worth more in the exact same grade and overall condition silver surfer 1 or fantastic four 48 silver surfers first appearance and why?

They are both around the same price, maybe slightly more for the FF #48.

I like them both equally and they are both hoard books for me. I think that I have a few more FF 48s than SS #1s

I give the slight edge to FF48 - first appearance and first Galactus as well - both are iconic covers.

I posted this in the "group shot" thread, but wanted to pay homage to this thread as well. The quest continues (need 14, 17, & 18)!

Silver Surfer was my handle when my parents had a CB radio in the late 70's! I loved those books! Breaker one nine. Silver Surfer here. Need to ten ninety nine. Is that a ten four? I have the whole series, too, Reading them now as a late 40 -something family guy, the stories seem quite melodramatic, "woe is me," etc. I took them much more seriously as an angst-ridden teenager. But still fun to read.

David.
