We should start a "What's not HOT on ebay now" thread, it would be easier to keep up with the market that way!  :ohnoez:

Unfortunately, when it comes to MCP, it seems maybe 5 or so issues of the whole run regularly sell for more than $5-7 each, and those are considered "dollar books" here.

I put regularly in bold because I see sales of the other Weapon X issues that make no sense ... one copy selling for $20-30+ right next to a $3 sale in the same condition. Makes me go hmmmm Not just the occasional Divad sale. It does seem a bunch of people are listing the other BWS at sky high prices and hoping, while they're still selling elsewhere for $10 and less.

I know some people try to pump the mcp79 as a first app. Of weapon x , but while I don’t think that is any big deal, it does have that fun Freddy Krueger story :luhv:

79 is selling for what 72 sold for a few weeks ago, it is one of those books in the run that sells, but 73 - 78 and 80+ are much more hit or miss. i am tempted to sell some sets as they are now doing better enough than 72 + 79 sell solo to justify it. i don't want to sell all my 72 and 79s and be stuck with the rest, although they all have pretty sweet covers and their own potentia to pop

79 is the best cover in the bunch in my opinion - just picked up another copy today for $5 while I was out digging.

MSH Secret Wars 3 1st Titania

Nice!  I have a newsstand copy off at CGC now that should come back a 9.6 or 9.8. :)

I'm guessing that is since the She-Hulk series announcement.

It’s also the first Volcana.   But the best thing about this book is Spidey swatting Wolvy.

I remember that and its definitely a writer's point of view. Because later see the Spider-man
Wolverine one shot where he is scared to death of Wolverine I think from memory. But that might
have been around the Spider-man empowered issues where he beat Firelord to a pulp.

whenever I went to NYCC last (4 years ago?) I got about 10 from a dollar box guy who I think sold me a packed shortbox for $100 or something, so less than $1. i could not believe they were still there on the last day of a 4 day show. shows how dead the book was.

Your right it was dead for quite a period.

How are blades that can cut through almost anything a joke? I forget what was going on here, was spidey invulnerable?

I hated those panels as a kid (even while loving Secret Wars). Nightcrawler and Wolverine were my two favorite characters. To see them both get beat by Spidey in a couple panels did not sit well with 12 year old me.

I had the same reaction (and was about the same age as you at the time). Spider-Man took on the X-Men and made them look like a joke. I can see spider-sense giving him an advantage, but I don't think Wolverine would ever leave himself open to being swatted like that.

To me, this is how it "really" is. The pantheon of superheroes would be much more like a hierarchy than network of teams. Spider-Man is high up there, but Nightcrawler would make a great assassin.

One thing to remember is that Spidey is always pulling his punches. He’s much stronger than Logan.  He’s faster than Logan. He can dodge bullets.  If he can dodge bullets, surely he can stay out of reach of Wolvie’s pigstickers.

I thought it was awesome at the time. Spidey kicking some X-butt lol

However, much like the aforementioned Spidey / Firelord fight, it all comes down to what the writer intended. I can't envision any scenario where Spider-Man could punch Firelord into unconsciousness, even if it was great to see happen

He can sense when someone is about to shoot and then move out of the way before the shot is taken. I don't think he can actually move fast enough to get out of the way of a bullet that is coming toward him. At least, I hope he can't, because that would be OP.
