Neal Adams has out-dumbed Skateman. Is this old news?

Does anyone know if Neal Adams has established a cult visavi his expanding earth prophecy?

 

I might consider joining if I could get access to some sweet late 60's early 70's original art of his.

His expanding Earth theory doesn't bear even minor scrutiny, but that doesn't change my opinion of his work one bit.

 

Artists are allowed some eccentricity.

Having seen Neal at many conventions (and interviewed him a couple of times) I can tell you if you go and meet him he won't talk about the expanding earth theory unless you ask him about it. If somebody questions him about it on a panel he'll say nobody here wants to listen to him talk about that, they want to hear him talk about Batman and stuff.

 

But if you really do want to talk to him about it, best to do so at his table when he's not busy. Then he'll gladly talk about it.

oh, Neal is very cool. Arguably one of the top 5 most influential comics artists ever, and a long time hero of mine. So its sad to see him entertain his ego so publicly. Clearly, having been the unquestioned comics master all his adult life has led him to feel a Modern Renaissance Man! Artist! playwright! Adman! Great Thinker!

 

If he were right, it would be awesome! But to stubbornly go against the grain vs scientists, as if he were a legendary figure who will someday be proven to have been right, and ergo, "One Of The Great (unappreciated) Thinkers Of Our Time"!

 

Neal must wish it were so, and so it is!
