Batmobile just sold for 4.2 Million!

I just finished watching the original Batmobile sell for 4.2 million at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction. I'm a little bummed to see it went to a private collector though, maybe he will tour it but I kind of doubt it...

Thought the same thing! Fun to watch though-I was at the auction Monday and was able to see the car in person. Very cool.

Perhaps its because the show was before my time (though I did see reruns), but the batmobile does less than nothing for me personally

Somehow I doubt this is the "original". Barris built many. One is sitting in Gatlinburg, TN

Batmobile Taps into comics, and cars. And it's singular. I think it should be viewed as owning a piece original art. Not sure if it's worth 4 mill though.

Original Art yes but there are many many duplicates of this original art. Hell you can buy fiberglass body kits for your old ford to build one of these cars.
