THE 2013 CONVENTION SEASON SKETCH COVER SUPER/MEGA THREAD!

Last for now, Neal Adams sketch of Cyclops. I actually had the sketch done on 8/25/2012 when it was also signed by Stan Lee and Carlos Pacheco. I really wanted to complete it by having it signed by Kieron Gillen, so in 2013 it was sent back out and on 10/13/2013 Mr. Gillen signed it. I think it might have gotten mixed in with some comics for Dennis Hopeless, since he also signed it on 10/13/2013, but that does not bother me in the slightest. I am thrilled about owning this comic. I know it may not technically count for the 2013 thread since the actual sketch was done in 2012, but I never displayed it before because I wanted to wait until it was completed.

I received a nice little (actually, big!) christmas package from Doug/dscott containing the majority of sketches I got in 2013, and I figured it would be appropriate to post a photo here before moving on to the 2014 thread. And once again a big thanks to Doug for making it happen.

While I've had scans of these for a while, this is as you can deduce the first time I've held the actual books in my hands, and as always they look even better up close and "in person".

 

One book that I haven't had a good photo/scan to share before, is the Rachel/Phoenix cover by Ethan van Sciver, from the mini-opp run by Mr. Mylar. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, but I can at least share a photo of this beautiful cover. Just gorgeous in hand. Thanks again, Mike!

These all belong in this thread even though they are getting posted in 2014. They are from NYCC 2013. Thanks to NYComics for the help getting these.

Avengers: X-Sanction 1 with a Captain America Sketch by Rich Buckler. Ed McGuinness and Dexter Vines also signed it.
