Quality, 1949. In this rare first issue, the incomparable Bill Ward produced a lasting image of lush sensuality - the classic lovers in a moonlight embrace. Because of their high production values, Quality issues have long been among the most collectible romance comics.

 

This gorgeous 9.2 Crippen copy is the 2nd highest grade, behind the Mile High 9.6. These books hardly ever change hands in public, only surfacing once every 5-10 years, if that. You would be hard pressed to find high grade key Ward romance outside of the very few pedigrees that have some romance - Church, Crippen and Crowley.
