Post your Favorite WHAT IF?

my fav is Jack Kirby's parady of the Early Marvel Bullpen as the Fantastic Four. As documented in the new book "Tales to Astonish" Stan was not exactly happy with his character.

No doubt about it, What If #3, which was perhaps the very first "grim and gritty" comic from Marvel, and one that really predicted what the 1980's would bring:

What an awesome cover. One of those issues that is burned in your memory from when I was just a punk kid.

This issue was one of my first What If purchased. The stories were pretty good.

By far my favorite is #34, the humor issue with The Philosphical Spider-Man and so many others I can't recall at the moment.

 

But probably the funniest single panel ever printed by Marvel was What if Luke Cage had discovered the Hammer of Thor? "By the Gleaming Gates of Funky Asgard, you suckas are gonna eat Hammer!"

The first issue "What If Spider-Man Had Joined the Fantastic Four?" is still my favorite. But I don't have a scan of the cover

My favorite What if cover is the WHAT IF SPIDER-MAN'S CLONE HAD SURVIVED?, because it shows what a ridiculous idea that would be! Good thing nobody at marvel decided to try it out for real, um, well, ahem.

I haven;t seen that Bullpen What If for 2 or more years. Next time I hit an LCs with back issues will look for it. Remeber it being a lot of fun!

that's my fave issue too, great art by various artist's too.

Actually, that question was answered in Amazing Spider-man #129. What If Conan Were Trapped in the Future was answered in Astonishing Tales #25.
