Comiclink March 2013 Auction

I thought a handful of Detectives actually went very reasonable, at least to me, I put a premium on white pages, love white pages.

I wish I had bid on this one, think it went pretty low.

I wish I and bid on the bat 238 went for well below gpa. :( $522 as opposed to 650ish and the gpa before that was over 800.

I thought that pacific coast Spidey 91 went for crazy money.

This months auction was pretty weak and primarily lower grade fillers for collectors. The Iron Man was ridiculous. They've had some pretty good auctions the last few months. Maybe Late March is not the time to sell or buy?

Last month was a just as intense for me...

I bid on over 30 books last night

and snagged only 10 percent.

I have about 60 others I am interested in so we'll see.

I upgraded the following:

ASM 18 5.5 to an 8.0

ASM 34 5.5 to an 8.0

ASM 46 6.0 to an 8.5

Also finally obtained my copy of ASM 149 in a 9.4. Was looking for one of those for awhile.

A certain someone beat me on the issue 37.

I was in the running for the Strange Tales 110 and thought about picking up that 5.0 but I am checked out. Hope someone from here snags it.

I was very pleased with this one...

That is a NICE looking 8.0! :applause:

I went bargain hunting on high grade silver/bronze DC's and Dells hoping to snag a few in the 8.5-9.4 range for about 60-70% of OPG. I was hoping that there might not be much competition for some of them so I could fill some holes in my collection. Boy was I wrong. 80%-125% of guide for most of them is how it ended and I missed out on all but one.

I think its crazy to have $100 increases after the book hits $1,000. Was set to bid on a book at $900 and suddenly it was at $10001 and the next bid was $1111. $50 over $500 is bad enough.

I'd agree. $50 increments seems plenty for a $1000 book imo (shrug)

Thanks... It is similar in appearance to the 46 a picked up. As much as I wanted to upgrade my 6.0, I could not justify the $825 that the 9.2 went for in lieu of everything else I picked up so far this year, so the 8.5 was a happy medium at $168.
