I have been trying to collect 283 for several years now. I always felt Zod was a major badass just from Superman 2 (the original). Once Man of Steel rumors hit, that cemented it for me. Trying to find this book in hi grade is almost impossible. In low grade it is not any easier.

 

In terms of Superman keys I rank them:

1. Action 252 SuperGirl

2. action 242 Brainiac

3. Adventure 283 Zod

 

Supes does not have as many key Silver villains as Bats so there are a lot less to choose from. Of the three books SuperGirl and Brainiac have taken off. Zod has gone up nicely but still has lots of room to grow. I am still a buyer when they show up on eBay at a reasonable cost.

Great forum, with some seriously nice copies. That 9.0 is gorgeous but that 8.5 is really a stunner. Great color.
