Why you should buy Postal Insurance

Of all things, right after I shipped a comic at the local post office I went to pick up some cleaning. While I was talking to the lady inside we heard this loud bang and ran outside to see a local postal truck had been hit on the side and knocked over. Luckily this occurred right in front of the fire and police station so help was on hand right away.

 

If you blow up the picture you will see mail strewn about on the road. The picture doesn't show the mail that was soaked in gasoline on the other side!

With the price of gas these days, any items soaked in it are probably worth more.

I'd be more concerned about the people involved in the accident. But yes, postal insurance is important.

My packages weren't in there. What was interesting was how all the bystanders came over and got the postman out and then picked up the mail and put into some of the bins that had bounced out of the back of the truck when it rolled over.
