Some of the books suffered from poor later storage, but those that didn't look terrific! goldust40

Great cover but one I don't have and probably will never own. Can't see paying in the thousands for the book.

Popular Post Hap Hazard
I'm not complaining, maybe a little, Prices on Pre-Code now is all relative. I've purchased most of my books 90% of the EC run and many Horror keys back in the 90's and early 2000's. I just personally wouldn't pay that money doesn't mean they aren't worth it. I purchased Blackcat Mystery at my first con in 1976 and yes it wasn't alot. KirbyJack, originalisbest, lbcolefan and 3 others

Popular Post Drkegg
Not sure how far back "recent" means but I got a lot of PCH books last year that I just want to show off. Here is another one I got around my birthday right around when Covid hit. End of times and hell cover seemed to be fitting at the time... fifties, Jayman, Larryw7 and 3 others

Yes, obviously "recent" can be things you just got yesterday, but this thread I've followed from the start, is welcoming of cool precode books no matter when you got them. "Recent" is all relative with vintage books. Larryw7, thewritestuff, Nic8612 and 2 others

I remember feeling the same about wanting a copy of Crypt of Terror #17 when I was 14. I had just learned about EC and precode horror generally, and was all in -- wasn't until I was in my 30's that I did finally get a Crypt #17. I'm a big Farrell fan, and this is possibly the best cover of the publisher's canon. I was one of the underbidders on your copy. What seems cheap now was more than I was willing to pay back then. I still don’t have a copy and with today’s prices I probably never will. I can’t decide which is my favorite Farrell, 5 or 6. comicjack, Nic8612, Jayman and 6 others
