While I love the Spellbound, it doesn't fit my category of comic art coming alive because you can't see the art and it's the writer that's complaining. In addition to those two there's also Punch.

I have a vague memory that there are other Golden Age villains who used this shtick. Did The Painter (SA Human Torch villain) have a GA antecedent? Stan Lee never had an idea he couldn't recycle.

As a commercial artist, I know how this feels. Just another day at the drawing board and a mob of creepy gremlins helping you move toward your deadline..... lol

If I upgrade to a NM copy with white pages I would certainly consider it.
