retrocomics
Some newly arrived goodies Good looking book for the price I paid Congrats on getting an icon book! Looks similar to my copy...Care to tell the current going rate? I got this one for $480. Spent months trying to find an affordable one and never seen a complete visually nice one as this is for nowhere close. Yes, looks like you did get a pretty good deal at that! The competition for a book like this can be intense! Yes pretty good price. I believe I saw this copy on Ebay very recently. Perhaps you did. Was a buy it now but I made an offer for 450 and we settled at the 480. Would have paid the 500 and been more than happy.

originalisbest
Picked this up from Harley at Comicpalooza That's the New Brunswick copy. I know it's history, including Steve's and my original grade. What goes around, comes around. Sounds drama-riffic. Do tell? We graded it 5.5. A nice 5.5! It is nice, at that. So why the "What goes around, comes around" -- ? Well I first saw the book with the 800+ collection first brought from NB. Then most of it went away. Then I saw it at Harley's booth. Then it went away. Now I'm seeing it here. Makes sense. The way your original statement comes off, stating that you "know the history of the book" and the "original grade" you gave it, vs. what it is today, and finishing with "What goes around, comes around" implies something nefarious had happened/some ill dealings transpired, in between the raw state when you had it, and the 6.0 slab it resides in now. That is what I assumed too. I was being too literal I guess. Nothing nefarious was meant or implied. No big deal at all (and none of my business anyway, really.) But it is a great example of how something when typed can convey a different impression than if you had said the exact same thing in person! Supernerd
Mr. Postal Worker just made a delivery today I've never paid much attention to this title, but as a pre code fan, who can resist a horrific, up close, strangulation cover with a gorgeous blonde yielding a pistol and smoking a cigarette? Not I

N e r V
Two scores from Heritage today. I now have bookends (#1 and 6) for my Phantom Stranger run. None of them show up often so I can't really tell if 6 is harder to get than anything else but I do dig its cover. I was told this copy can be kind of difficult in the Venus run so I'm happy to have a decent copy for my set. Still have some comicconnect and comiclink bids in over the next few weeks too. Nice pickups. That Venus is a very nice looking 3.5, and finding PS in 6.0 and above makes finding them at all look easy.

Jayman
Good read too! I read it from cover to cover right out of the mail. The first story The Room of Mystery was very Lovecraftian! (thumbs u

Jayman
Nice pickup, Jayman! Yup, good cover illustration, and a good reader. Actually the inside story The Beast of Doom was illustrated better than the cover art for a change IMHO!

Great pick up of some rather rare books. I've wondered why PS books are so pricey, given that I would have thought the DC comic distribution network would have dealt them out at the same rate as the Batman and Superman variety, and the same for the Venus, in the Atlas realm.
