90 posts in this topic

I'll try this out as well..

1) TDK

2) Batman Begins

3) Avengers

4) Iron Man

5) Spider-man 2

6) Man of Steel

7) Batman (1989)

8) DKR

9) X2

10) Blade II

You like Batman? :insane:

Who's he? :whatev:

Funny for me going forward I like Batman Begins now the least out of trilogy now.

People can be down on DKR, but for me ranks pretty high.

Opposite for me. I can watch BB anytime and still enjoy it. I really loved the storyline.

I still like the movie a lot just saying I view the other sequels higher.

I feel like The Dark Knight returns is my least favorite of the trilogy. I thought Batman Begins was an outstanding movie though. I liked how they did the origin story.

For comic adaptations

Sin City

Watchmen

Iron Man...

Of course, I'm a huge horror fan thus the bias towards darker movies.

I haven't seen alot of these either.

I'm a big comic and sports fan so I am really harsh on those genres.

IMO it is very hard to get these types of movies right.

How they should be is so entrenched, I am often dissappointed.

Sin City is about as faithful a comic book adaptation as there is. Some people may not like the material, but fidelity to the source cannot be argued.

Sucker Punch is better than any of the movies discussed in this thread.

I think I might need to re-visit X-Men 2. It is getting a lot of love in this thread and I don't really remember it. It might be the bad taste the X-Men 3 left in my mouth...

Its awesome.

I still love the start with Nightcrawler in the White House.

Watching it now and yes it is very good. It is all coming back to me. I'm amazed I forgot about this movie. My daughter and I have been so focused on the Avengers heroes movies that I have forgotten the X-Men trilogy. And 3 clearly wasn't very good.

Yeah I'll second that. Nightcrawler never had an interesting power in the comics. One second he's here, the next he's over there. With sequential art that's how everyone moves. But in the movie. When I watched that the first time I was blown away. From the least interesting power in the comics to the most awesome power in the movies.
