Marvel Trade Recommendations...

Heeello peeps.

 

I've been a pretty heavy DC reader but there are a number of Marvel characters that I have read bits and bobs of and like and want to read more of... but, as you can probably guess - knowing where to start is a toughie!

 

So I figured I'd grab some trades, but would love some advice on good story arcs, amazing art.. good starting points etc....

 

Specific Characters I know a little about / like...

 

- Wolverine;

- Punisher;

- Hawkeye;

- Daredevil; (I've heard Mark Waid's run is a good spot to get on).

- Avengers;

- Thor;

- Deadpool;

- Hulk;

- Ghost Rider;

- X-Men;

- Moon Knight;

 

Any suggestions for other titles that are kick that I should look up and get amongst?

Great Hulk stuff is Bruce Jones' run from a few years back

Add in Waid's Daredevil, in my opinion.

Wolverine – the original 1983 series in trade / Old Man Logan / Not Dead Yet

 

Daredevil – the Brian Bendis / Alex Maleev run on the 1998 series

 

Uncanny X-Force – pick the whole 2010 series in trade – great read

Some quick picks...

 

Wolverine - Original miniseries

Punisher - Circle of Blood, Welcome Back Frank

Hawkeye - Current series I hear is good too

Daredevil - Born Again, Guardian Devil, current Waid stuff,

Avengers - Kree/Skrull War, Under Siege, Ultron Unlimited

Thor - Walt Simonson's entire run (I think there is an omnibus)

Hulk - Future Imperfect, Planet Hulk (it is a whole run but great)

X-Men - Fall of the Mutants/Mutant Massacre, God Loves Man Kills
