9.8 is a mystical pipedream for Bronze that only those within the CGC confines know which comics receive the coveted designation.

 

Though it does looks like a 9.6 to me...

I agree with majority 9.6 ,real nice book ,but hey you never know 9.8 isn't out of the question. Good Luck

Well I called to get the grade on this one. Very bummed out. 8.5

do you know why...did you get graders notes

I am going to call on Monday to get the graders notes. I can't imagine that I missed something that dramatic to lower the grade to an 8.5.

I was hoping for a 9.8, although in blowing up the scan really large I would have graded it no less than a 9.4.

well, that's gotta be the best looking VF+ in the history of grading!!!!

 

given the size and clarity of your scans, i can't imagine there's anything on either cover to pull the grade down that low, so it has got to be something internal.........i mean, there may be a tiny stress crease or two and that may be a slight "rubbing" just above the lower staple, but i'm not even sure that they're there.........

That's a great looking 8.5. Is CGC trying to get back...keep....maintain the reputation as the harshest graders out there?

It didn't get a 9.4!?

 

It must have some non-color breaking creases in the white area of the cover.

Those don't show up in scans quite often.
