Best pen for a signature?

I don't have a lot of signature experience. Any tips for a SS newbie.

 

I'm going to have a HG Superman Ali treasury book signed tonight by Neal.

 

I figured a metallic pen due to it being such a rich cover.

 

What is the best pen (one that doesn't bleed through etc.)

Is there an industry standard?

 

 

 

 

I was thinking of him signing it just above Jimmy Carter's head...

 

Any advice is appreciated.

I just want this signed for me. I'll have a video taken of this event.

+1 on the sharpie metallics. I have seen sigs from paint pens chip away after some time. The sharpies seem to hold up really well.

I was going with gold and silver sharpies myself until I accidentally grabbed the bronze instead of gold for a signing. I couldn't believe how much bronze just popped out at you on dark colors. Since that signing gold has been replaced by Bronze Metallic Sharpie.

SS with the metallic bronze Sharpies look better than any other pen/marker I've seen recently.

Well there goes the neighborhood. Now everybody is going to be getting their stuff done in bronze!

 

It does look awesome though....I started using it at DragonCon...

The bronze sharpie does do a nice job. I just used one for the first time this past WW Chicago.

I'm curious myself. I might try out the metallic blue and green on some throw away comics, but if anyone has previous experience with these I'd love to hear.
