PGM Oktoberfest Comics #1 (early Dave Sim)

5 posts in this topic

Here's a purely Canadian Comic book that every comic book collector should be aware of. I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario. My first "real" comic book store was the Now & Then Books on Queen Street in downtown Kitchener. The Harry Kremer Retailer Award is named after the late Harry Kremer, who was the original owner of Now & Then Books in Kitchener, Ontario.

I grew up surrounded by Harry and his staff (including Dave Sim) and Harry's mother who used to bring tea and cookies to the really good customers on some of the colder winter days. Any way just wanted to show case a really wonderful Canadian first in comics. Hope you enjoy it as much I as I did coming across it in my collection again for the first time in about 20 years.
