Sorry no scans guys this is the best I can do.

 

I was told it was a 9.2/9.4 and the seller is usually pretty accurate but I am not sure I agree. The gripper holes are my main qualm. What do you think ?

I guess you can't get a definitive answer because they don't publish standards.

That is a great looking copy! I was thinking around 9.2 IMHO. Possibly higher in hand. I don't think the grabber tears effect the grade. I believe it considered a bindery defect. I have seen books with 9.8 CGC grades that have the grabber tears (mind you there was only one and on the back cover)

My assessment was 9.0/9.2 in its current state.
