I like this painting as it shows Cole's mastery of animal anatomy:

 

 

That's one reason to like the painting. Another would be that it's freakin awesome.

 

That really is impressive and a cut above his already high standards.

I don't own this and don't know where I got this picture from, might be from this board, so if it's yours and has already been talked about, I am sorry.

But I love this cover and can't find anything about it anywhere. I wonder if Cole did the interior illustrations too? That would be awesome.

I think he just did the cover. There's a few books in this line I think. They don't show up often and don't come cheap. I think there's another called "The history of Sex" too.

 

RTS - Killer stuff! I haven't started tracking down LB's covers in that title... yet.

Nice copies! RTS - is that just the scan? Does your scanner do x-rays???
