A couple of early Cardinal Giants I picked up at 2 or 3 dollars apiece.  Wish I'd picked up a few more while the seller was at it, as they're in pretty nice shape with white pages.

Van Wyck Mason was a regular in Argosy and Short Stories and shifted his focus to historical fiction with the success of Three Harbours to which this is a companion book.  Ray Jo cover.

Hendrick Van Loon's illustrated The Story of Mankind, a history of the world for children which won the first Newberry Medal in 1922, cover by Leo Manso

I'm not as good at explaining anymore, but what I'm talking about is a list with dealers and websites and references basically, to steer novices towards reputable options. There is already such a thing in the GA and SA treads, so nothing radical. Here is a link to the one in the Golden Age Forum

Considering how many book dealers carry PBs, HBs, and Pulps, it could be a simple tweak within the Pulp Forum, since that's where everyone goes for those things. Hopefully this helped. My brain is now made out of cotton candy, so I don't always make sense. Thank you, sir. If a person wanted to add someone to the list, maybe copy, paste, and add? GOD BLESS ...

I've had this 1963 Charlton comic for years and then I discovered this 1962 novel.

There's a thread here that @Get Marwood & I pointed out to me during some pms last week regarding the author Adelaide Humphries who wrote in the love pulps and also as Token West and Wayne Way in sleazier titles regarding Cynthia Doyle, Nurse in Love.  Monarch was the paperback arm of Charlton, and it's not too surprising artists or writers might swipe material from each other. 

Charlton/Monarch were all in on the nurses and doctors craze in both the comics and the paperbacks.  Love both of those covers above

Cynthia Doyle, Nurse in Love has a much better ring to it than Nurse Lady

I love Charlton comics, but it's mostly a kitsch thing. 

The painted GGA on the Monarch paperbacks is top notch, though - Harry Barton, Tom Miller, Rafael DeSoto, Bob Maguire. Love this new one that came in last week (everybody seems to have it):

As far as the Monarch fiction - I haven't gotten to much of it yet

I’ve said this before, but never have I had so much information conveyed in so few words as “Monarch is Charlton’s paperback branch”.  It explained so much so quickly when I first heard it.

I just did this morning, and if anyone sees glaring omissions, please chime in. I only listed folks I actually had experience with, so there will be others with great track records. Grading, as always, is subjective, but those listed so far, always left me happy. GOD BLESS ...
