Ramos is why I don't ever see Slott in the fold for top runs on Spider-Man. He's a great writer and Superior has been a surprising treat, but Ramos is just awful. I've tried to be more accepting, but I just can't stand him.

At least the book has coloring. Pick up an Uncanny X-men, the color artist failed first grade coloring. Yes it's that bad.

I don't get it. The coloring is blah and the face should be tweaked, but that cover is so very far from the worst of the worst. :shrug:

a LOT of hatred for Ramos in here... I will agree, some of his Spidey stuff is a bit rough, but a lot of it is pretty nice... I too like Bagley, of course Mcfarlane, and I am liking Ryan Stegman now as well... Erik Larsen was pretty good, and there is always John Romita Jr...

Gee... I should go find one issue featuring Ramos artwork and see what the deal everyone's talking about his work? I have not read Spider-Man for many years since I stopped after #500 somewhere.

 

I did read Ulimate Spider-Man but just in HC/softcover volumes through. Pretty good artwork what I think. John Romita JR had alway been doing a good job.
