Looks quite nice at first glance. Is there some fading to the reds of the FC, or is the scan a bit washed-out?

Fading, chipping, age-related wear, I certainly would go any higher than a 5.0. The fading bothers me enough to go 4.5

Other than the issues that are obvious in the scans, the book appears to have a solid structural integrity. I give 5.5

 

I don't know how CGC will hammer the fading.

From the grades, I'm guessing folks were pretty harsh on the fading. It certainly isn't the worst example I've seen... or put another way, it could pass for an ASM 2 with a weak magenta color strike (though as with the GS Xmen 1, I tend to think that's not the case here as the back cover looks OK).
