DMZ from Vertigo

Checked the first 25 pages here, didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one, especially with the TV series news I thought there'd be more talk of it!

Spied the first issue at a comic fair last week, turned out the guy was also selling the entire run, managed to get it for a relative bargain; currently blazing through it, (just finished the 'body of a journalist' story, holy mess!) and it's quickly becoming one of my favourite series ever. Any other fans on here? Is it as consistently good all the way through as it has been so far?

I bought the first trade a few years ago and then went to eBay and bought the whole run up to issue 40 or so. It was still going then and I think I got it for like a dollar an issue. It was a great read up until around that point. Whenever he ended up working for the political party.

If they make it into a show/movie, it'll be interesting to see how it catches on. It wasn't talked about a lot when it was going, but it was always consistently good.

DMZ was always the epitome of a Brian Woods series to me -- a far better concept than execution, littered with his persistent need to remind us of how cool and alternative he is. Overall, a solid but not great book that completely deteriorated by the end.
