PGM - Wolverine (Vol. 2) #1 - Grade is in!

Think Joey would be able to eek a 9.4 out of it?

Do any of the spine creases break colour? If not Joey might be able to squeak out a 9.4! The TLHC front cover is what would hold you back from anything higher in my opinion.

Update - I took it to my local comics shop, along with some other books to get sent to CGC. The shop only charges $10 for a pressing of modern books so I figured it'd be worth it. The shopkeepers were all in the 9.0/9.2 range so we'll see what happens after a press and CGC gets it.

1. This book will not improve with a press.

2. It's a nice book as it is.

3. The LCS will probably charge you $10 for the press (and do nothing).

4. Why on earth would you allow someone else to submit your books, when you can do it yourself?

Oy vey!

What kind of rep does this shop have for pressing? And like D says, what not submit them yourself, ...............or, just send them to a proven presser like Joey, and let him take care of it all. (shrug)

They get a discount on grading from CGC and they weren't going to charge me shipping since I bought a couple of books while I was there. When the book came out of the Mylar, there was another NCB crease on the back along Wolvie's neck. I figure with the break on shipping and the discount on grading, I'd basically get it pressed for free. If it comes back lower, I'll sell it or consider breaking the slab and sending it to Joey for an eval and re-submission. I wasn't really losing anything by having them press it. So we'll see.
