If this were a real girl I would say that she could be anywhere between 16-25. Does not look like a child in any way either in face or body.

Bull Sid...the picture screams well developed high school junior. That's what makes it sick. And if you don't think so, I'd suggest you get out more.

Sorry, heterosexual human males find the young, female form pleasing to the eye. It's how we've managed to continue as a species all these years. Get over it.

Sure...but there are age limits imposed for good reasons.

Absolutely. Non-perverts know that kids are kids even when they look like hookers.

Jim, go back and tell me "how old" all the rest of the girls are on the other covers. You say Junior, I say HS Senior or college, who cares? It is a matter of opinion and either way, it is a painting. If the woman looked 12-15 it would be different. This piece of art depicts a fully developed young woman. Take it easy. "Sick" is in the eye of the beholder. There is nothing sick about this cover nor anyone who enjoys it. I say this cover is erotic, especially without the censoring.

Funny how no one seems to mind the covers of women in bondage facing certain death. confused-smiley-013.gif At least in the cover in question you see a girl smiling and acting of her own free will. I guess some would rather see helpless women being bound and tortured, as if that was more acceptable. Go figure.

The fundamental difference between the cover you posted and the rest (except for one other cover you posted) is that they are all basically comic books with superheroes, adventure, action, danger poses, etc.,. Transform these covers into real life as if they were a movie poster and you would think of an action, adventure, super-hero, sci-fi, fantasy movie, etc.,. Transform the cover in question into real life and you would think of pornography. In fact, it looks a picture from a "barely legal" website pop up ad. foreheadslap.gif

Since I've never read any, do the interior of those books feature any kind of humor, adventure, super-heroes, etc.,. or just sexual exploits?

The women in most of the women in bondage covers do not die. They are either rescued or rescue themselves. Except for the pre-code horror and I actually do not collect the pre-code horror books showing a woman in bondage being tortured. I ultimately find the image a bit distasteful, although I can appreciate the shock value. But the superhero women, the action/adventure women etc, as I said are equipped to fight. They are part of an adventure story.

The only similarity between those comics and that school girl is that females are pictured on the cover. I honestly don;t see a parallell between the two as far as meaning and intent go.

PM me if they are ever for sale. yay.gif

They aren't mine. I 'borrowed' the scans from Metropolis. Both books are for sale on their site. The #17 is just a killer copy!!!! cloud9.gif

I've thought about collecting PL's but, man, are they pricey.

Holy Moley! And to think that I am having to defend myself on THIS, of all topics foreheadslap.gif.

So who cares if the cover depicts a "mortal" as opposed to a super-heroine or soon to be rescued girlfriend of a hero? Do we now have different standards for different kinds of female characters on comic book covers? The extent of what is allowed either sexually or violently depends on WHO the character is? foreheadslap.gif

Sure the interior is sexually oriented. Whether the characters are some kind of heros having sex or just regular people, what in the heck does it matter? Why are you saying there has to be "adventure" or "fantasy" elements for it to maybe be more acceptable? There are plenty of comics (mostly non-DC and Marvel) that deal with regular folks. So, these books are about some kind of lame hero but I believe that is just an excuse for the sexual content. So do we now have a problem with comics specifically created to be about sex? Do we?

I just don't understand where some of you guys are coming from. I'm not sure if I am reading here about double standards, accusations of child pornography, or that comics should just not have sex as a primary focus. confused-smiley-013.gif

You can have comics with sex as a primary focus. That's not what the complaint here is, and, there's no way you can't understand that. The complaint here is that the book you posted is part of a trend towards making porn more "child-like". The whole trend is towards the "Barely Legal" and "Just 18" kind of stuff and the book you put up feeds into that. Whether she is 18, or 25, or whatever is irrelevant. She looks 16. That's the whole point of the image.
