Pretty nice book, but is it worth the asking price?

Without the signature its probably about $300-500ish over priced. With...maybe 200-400ish over priced =) Wouldn't be suprised if it sold, but the bidding won't be hot and heavy.

Here's another one I find odd. Sure it's Avengers #1, but a 1.5? Why would anyone have slabbed it in the first place?

Generally, graded keys sell for a higher price than raw books even in low grade.

Yeah, I figured, but a 1.5 book raw would get you what, no more than 5% of the NM value? So 5% of we'll say $3,500 is ......... oh $175.

 

So yeah, $80 for a slabbed 1.5 isn't too bad

my first reaction was - WOW...........but after doing a bit of research, it turns out that this is a shade under 4X's NM- (9.2) guide, which isn't necessarily out-of-step with the market.................

It's a bit high but not ridiculous. The high starting bid seems to keep people away and if you don't care about the signiture...

Wonder how this book would do if Stan had signed the book...and it was in a 9.4 yellow label.
