Book doesn't lay as flat as the others along spine. Bothers me some... really bothers me that I don't remember the girl's name who has the first appearance in this book and I have so many of them. :(

You may have gotten the memo to CT 18.5 that was canceled rather abruptly :(

 

CT 18.6 was a spur of a spur of a spur of the moment thing lol

Glad to hear! Your threads are always so entertaining. I saw it was running and had to pop in. A lot of people are having some really positive reactions to the mystery boxes, I noticed in July I had the same five or six guys buying from me over and over again. I guess they read fast :baiting:

SWAMP THING # 37 - VF-/VF - 1ST CONTSTANTINE - $85

 

COPY A

 

Glossy book with just a few detractors bringing the grade down. Upper R front corner cover has a 1/8 non color breaking crease. Cover stress/slight spine bend in the green leaves (on spine) below the bug. A few areas around the front cover that when held at an angle, you can see cover striations that can be cured with a simple press. Not obtrusive, but there. Back cover has mild color breaking crease, upper L cover corner and the spine ticks that you can see in the scan. One or two of the striations/indentations evident on the back cover as well. Overall a solid glossy copy with no major defects.

SWAMP THING # 37 - NM MINUS - 1ST CONTSTANTINE - $111

Nice glossy copy with just some minor spine ticks evident on front and back cover. Upper R cover corner has the slightest beginning of some rounding. The major detractor of this book to me is again, some striation lines around Swampy's R arm. Have to tilt to the light to mainly see them, but they are there. Easy press and fix. Top of front cover has what appears to be slight production marks where the printer pulled the cover... or it could be just slight age stress at the top of the book caused by flipping through boxes. (shrug) It's barely noticeable regardless. Ask me what the numerical grade would be on this one and I'd guess a 9.2.

Another nice copy but some of the same problems. Slight spine ticks on front and back and the same striations around Swampy's R arm. Book has slight to moderate edge wear around the edges of the book which is more obvious on the back cover due to its darker color. I guess the main being a "thumbing indentation" near the middle of the back cover edge. I'm sure a press can help all this... but that's up to you. 1/8" back upper corner color breaking crease and slight rounding of bottom of spine. I'd say this one would fall between a 8.5 and 9.0.

Sweet glossy book with just the basic wear bringing it down. Getting hotter by the micro second... at least that's what Big Pete and Logg Johnston sez ;)

Listen... these books languished in buck bins for years. Now everyone wants them because they can't afford ASM # 121 & 122. High grade copies aren't easy to run down and when they are, they are usually $25 to $40 each now. Some sell for less some sell for more. Point is... now is the time to buy ;)

DAREDEVIL # 181 VF-/VF & # 182 VF/NM - BUY BOTH $15

 

Nice glossy books. Detractors include slight spine ticking on both. 181 has that edge wear upper R cover corner and the non color breaking 1/16" crease at the bottom front cover corner. All in all, these are cool books ;)
