Pop Culture Archaeology - Origin of the Comic Con

34 posts in this topic

I want to invite all my boardie friends and colleagues to check out the first episode of my new video podcast Pop Culture Archaeology.

In this episode I trace the history of the comic con back to the sf pulp fans of the 1920s and 30s. Enjoy!

Jeffrey, a great idea and very well done! The part covering the early days was especially fascinating. I'm looking forward to the future 'casts.

Wow, good stuff!

If Netflix was smart they'd contact you with a budget, staff and requisition of half-dozen more just like it. To test the waters.

I know I'd add 'Pop Culture Archaeology - a Netflix original series' to my cue the instant it appeared. Fresh and interesting, all the way around.
