Should I be worried

12 posts in this topic

So recently I went to the alamo city comic con and got my black rider #1 signed by stan lee and before I did

I had one guy from the cgc asking if I would sell it to him when I was filling out the forum and when I got up to stan I had two guys from the Stan lee collectibles trying to buy off me and so the next day I got another book signed and I've just realized that I've have two different kinds of forums. The black rider comic had pink forum copy that has no invoice number and the other one is a green invoice and it does. should I be worried about my black rider comic getting "lost"

As I understand it, actual CGC employees are forbidden from actively purchasing CGC graded comics while they work for CGC.

The witness may have said something like that, but they are not involved in the grading on handling of books beyond escorting you to the signatures or whatever.

Do both of your carbon copies say "CUSTOMER COPY" on the top or bottom margin? That's the only thing that matters. I think I have some CCS carbons that are green and some CGC carbons that are pink... hm

The guys from Stan Lee Collectibles or which ever facilitation company are not CGC personnel but more of a "contractor" group who are authorized to witness and submit on the behalf of CGC. Just to be clear though was it as you are looking at Stan's booth the guys to the left or to the right of the booth that took your books in? Asking because out of the four facilitation groups at the convention 3 of the 4 each had black shirts except for those of us working at Kevin Eastman's booth.

Either way there is a system of trust between facilitators and shouldn't be an issue with getting your books back. CGC conducts background checks on facilitators for there CGC witnessing program and the pink sheet may simply be an issue of a new witness working the table. Normally we give the back copy (green) but honestly as long as you have a copy you should be good. I had a group of guys when submitting to us that questioned why I handed them the green copy and figured the Captain Obvious thing was that it says customer copy on the bottom...

This is probably a simple thing of envy for such an amazing book is all.

email me mbalent@cgccomics.com

FYI Harley Cherrin, the SOYLENT BLUE person DOES actually work for CGC, so you should probably email him ASAP to get your thing resolved as quickly as possible.
