PGM Incredible Hulk #5

I originally bought this book as a conserved 4.0 with the following note "tear seal to cover". The tear seal was along the right edge, and has since been fully removed making the book unrestored IMO, but the obvious downside is there is now a 11/4" tear in it's place along with a very small piece missing. Let me know what you think and thank you in advance.

With the size of that tear and the spine wear, I think you're looking at about a 3.5 now . Beautiful book otherwise!

VP, IMO you have been very accurate and consistent with your grading. If you do such a thing, you may wish to consider including a link to your auctions or listings within your sig line. I cannot speak for others, but I would certainly be interested in perusing your wares.

Thanks Adam. Although I've sold a lot in the past, today I just consider myself an (avid) collector. This could change, however, as soon as my wife gives me one of those looks again about how much space my collection is taking up in our house. - Mike

I know the feeling. I've got about 600 sq feet dedicated to longboxes. Appearantly, Mrs.Blazincomics feels the same as Mrs. vpcomics. It might be time for a storage unit.

I would have to agree with the 3.5 almost a 2 inch tear is rough

Nice book aside from the tear, 11/4" being an almost 3" tear, I'll put it at 3.5

You might be looking at what I would call a production crease, which is almost 3" and goes from the edge to the head of the statue. The tear is beneath that, starting from the edge and ending at the head of one of Tyrannus' soldiers dressed in brown. I appreciate the input, gang.

3.5 on the money. Good looking book. Presents really nicely for grade.

I think this is interesting. Does there seem to be a consensus that the 11/4" tear brings this 4.0 book to either a 3 or 3.5. Which one I wonder.
