I didn't make any notable purchases for 2014 until last week. Since Sam does not let much of his Maxx art go I was thrilled to get this. And for me, this easily made my year.

I picked-up some original Star Wars daily strips, but won't post any until I make sure I get all of the ones I'm after. Had too many deals go sideways on me this year to chance it.

 

None of it has been framed or mounted on the wall, but I did manage to produce a cover recreation this year that I've been wanting to do for some time. This is up on the wall already

Second is a great FF page from Big John. I loved the Monster from the lost Lagoon story line a true classic.

2. The OA for the Black Dragon from Dnd 3rd Edition (I also got him to re-create it as a painting based off of the pencils)

 

 

3. Total pop art of King Mob from the Invisibles. IMO one of the best KM pages in Vol 2

An early Schomburg. It's always amazing how quickly he went from this style which looks more like a pulp cover to his later work which is very different (courtesy of Heritage):

Honorable mention goes to my daughters who got a My Walking Dead Pony sketch blank whilst at N.I.C.E. We had quite a few laughs at this one whilst it was being done. It's not mine, belongs to the rugrats

Top 3, that's a tough one.

 

Well, I started the year with this, Charles Paul Wilson III does some amazing art on such an amazing series:

 

 

Then, I topped the year off by adding these two great cover pieces. Sacrifices had to be made, but well worth it to add a Simone Bianchi and John Cassaday to the gallery.
