So, I have reached out to Mike Saucerman.  I told him how bad the quality control situation is with comic books.  I also compiled multiple examples of each different problem that has been occurring.  When I was done, it took about 10 minutes for the e-mail to send.  I have also scheduled a meeting, so we can discuss this in more detail, and find solutions to prevent these errors from happening.  I have already started preparing for this meeting, and will spend most of tomorrow finishing the agenda so we can have a smooth discussion.

Furthermore, I will be staying in touch with Mike to fine tune quality control, and put this problem behind us.  I know what you people want, and I will make sure it happens.

So they hired a guy to look at the slabs that leave the building?

Or did they hire a guy to manage a non-existent department that should have been looking at slabs that leave the building?

$50 says this thread, and all the other reports on other forums/IG/YT/etc, don't slow down one bit.

Two Mikes are surely better than one, but I don't think the community as a whole will be content until every CGC employee is named Mike.

Progress! (thumbsu

QC is a process that begins with leadership. Leaders lead people.

Hoping the new leader will improve the QC deficiencies!

:wishluck:

Because if they don't, we'll see comics treated like this next...

This won't happen overnight but, I found out Monday, and I have the first meeting scheduled for Friday.  More quality control specialists will need to be hired.  For the first time, I have someone I can communicate with about this.  Good news for sure.

Wait, so the CGC employee and forum monitor had no one to contact regarding QC issues until now?

I hope this hiring has positive results.

A couple of questions regarding some of the more common complaints...

Plastic shards in the slabs - Will this gentleman be responsible for simply not letting slabs go out with any shards in them, or will he be responsible for the shards not getting in the slabs in the first place?  Big difference. Quite frankly, this has been going on for a very, very long time and there is absolutely no way that CGC does not know where they are coming from.

Scratches/scuffs on (or in) the slabs - exact same question and exact same same statement regarding CGC knowing where they are coming from.

Again, I hope the hiring of Mr Saucerman brings positive results, but I'm afraid that quality won't improve much without the top dogs willing to make those changes. So far, they seem unwilling to do so.
